Take time to do nothing
Author - Chithra Viswanathan

When was the last time you did nothing?
- By nothing, we mean absolutely nothing —
- no scrolling social media,
- no reading books or articles,
- no listening to podcasts,
- and no watching movies, TV, or YouTube videos.
- Knowing when to engage one’s mind is just as important as knowing when to disengage.
- Take time to gather your thoughts
- Take time to feel the sun
- Take time to listen to the rustling of leaves
- Take time to gaze at sky.
- Too many events fill our days , crowd our lives that
- Often at the end of the day, we can not recollect all that we did.
- It takes a long time to learn to do nothing!
- Pause to reflect.
- Pause to feel progress.
- Pause to create.
- Pause to think.
- Pause to take control.
- By all means pause.
- If you pause and take time to put expectations and schedules aside,
- You can recollect clearly all that you did.
- It is in the empty spaces that life takes place;
- Not in planning, but in repose, call it inactivity or tranquility.
- We need to be present for what is not there
- As much as for what is.
- We always measure by the things,we see.
- Watch the expanse of sky
- Watch the breadth of horizon
- Your thoughts expand.
- We realise that we are a micro dust in the macro universe.
- Be more on the edge, where
- Looking out and looking in meet.
- All truth gathers there and defines your being!
- I experience everything.
- I hold onto nothing.
- I become the world.
- That is bliss!
